My interest in food photography started a long time ago when I art directed photography for Marks & Spencer’s cookery books. Everything was on film in those days, so even the smallest retouch was a major deal. Thank goodness for digital and Photoshop nowadays!

I shoot food in my studio and often on location, such as publicity for catering companies and even a dairy.

A lot of my food shots have been for wholesale food suppliers’ catalogues, promotions and websites. For these clients the packaging of the product is just as important as the food itself – as well as creating interesting shots at great speed to work within tight budgets.
